Carving your turkey is the last step before your family sits down to the big dinner. After roasting your turkey, remove it from the oven and place it on a carving board.

  Step One:
Begin the carving process by removing each leg. Secure the turkey on the carving board using a carving fork. With the breast side up, begin by cutting the skin between the thigh and the breast. Using a sharp carving knife, press the thigh out to reveal the hip joint. Slice through the joint and remove the leg.
  Step Two:
To divide the thigh from the drumstick, take your knife and cut between the thigh bone and the drumstick bone.
  Step Three:
Using a carving fork, secure the drumstick and cut along
side the bone to slice a piece of meat from one side of the drumstick. Turn the drumstick. With cut side facing down on the carving board, repeat to remove all meat from the drumstick.

Step Four:
To remove meat from the thigh, place the thigh, flat side
down, on the carving board. Holding it with a carving fork, cut alongside the bone to slice off the meat.

  Step Five:
To remove each wing, begin by cutting diagonally through the breast toward the wing. Press the wing out to locate the shoulder joint. Slice through the joint and remove the wing. Repeat to remove second wing.
  Step Six:
To carve breast meat, secure the turkey on the carving board using the carving fork. With the knife, begin to cut diagonally away from the breastbone and down toward the carving board. Remove each slice of turkey as you cut. Carve all the meat off one side before beginning to carve the other side.
